Following the amazing success of our first Community Orchestra Day, we will be hosting a second event on Saturday 12 July. This will be a chance to have some fun playing some new music together and participants don't need to have taken part in the first event to join in. To apply for a place, please complete the short online form in the 'sign up' section below by Monday 23 June

Venue- Buxton Community School
Time- 10.00am-4.00pm, with a short performance at 3.00pm. Can participants please arrive between 10am and 10.15am to sign in.
What to expect - A full day workshop, led by our experienced music directors, working on music from films including Jurassic Park, How to Train Your Dragon and more. The day will finish with a short performance. There will also be tea/coffee and cake!
Who can join in? This event is for adults and children, playing at grade 4 standard or above. It's a great chance for parents to play alongside their children, but we'd also love other local musicians to join us.
Cost- Free for children. Adults- minimum donation £5
Not a musician but would like to get involved? We would love donations of cakes to sell at break times on the day. All funds raised will help us cover the cost of the event. If you are able to bring something please pass it to our team as you arrive. We also still have room for a few more helpers serving refreshments if anyone would like to stay and give us a hand.
What to bring- Don't forget your instrument and a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and cake will be available to buy at break times (squash will be provided for children free of charge). Stands and music will be there for you on the day.
Performance- please feel free to invite your friends and family to join us at 3.00pm for a short performance

What to bring? Please bring your instrument and a packed lunch. Tea, coffee and biscuits/cake will be available to purchase (all proceeds to PDMC funds)
Children taking part- Members of PDMC ensembles taking part in this event will be supervised by our team. If children who are not yet PDMC members wish to take part, we may require a parent to stay with them depending on age etc
Who can watch the performance? Please feel free to invite friends and family to come along at 3.00pm to watch the final performance
