Ensemble Director vacancy

A vacancy has arisen for an experienced and inspiring conductor to lead Peak District Music Centres’ highly regarded and award-winning Peak District Wind Band (PDWB) – the senior wind ensemble of Peak District Music Centres (PDMC) – from September 2021.

We require someone to take the ensemble forward musically, to develop the potential of outstanding individual players, to nurture the orchestra and to contribute to the PDMC team. At this unprecedented moment, the role will also inevitably include an element of rebuilding and re-inspiring.

This self-employed post involves a commitment to Friday evening rehearsals in Bakewell during school term-time and at least three concerts per year.

PDMC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and young people and expects all working with us to share this commitment. Any offer of a contract will be subject to receipt of satisfactory references, an enhanced DBS disclosure and safer recruitment checks.
